What determines our future

If we rely on the causal theory, we will only stop. Adler said.

Most of the time we talk about a topic: what determines our future. A lot of us will say, "we are.But in the face of reality, we will say that there are various reasons to hinder our progress. 

For example, we wanted to go to the library, but we didn't. We would say it's the weather, the lack of buses, the tiredness. It's obvious that it's using external reasons to explain personal behavior. In this simple example, we can see that reality will stop us from moving towards the future. 

But is that really the case?

Obviously not.

 If we really want to go to the library, we will try our best to find a way. The weather is bad. We can take umbrella. Because of traffic, you can take a taxi by yourself. I'm too tired to work. I can take a rest. In this way, unless something really terrible is blocking us, we can definitely go to the library. All the reasons are floating clouds.

This is an example to illustrate the difference between teleology and causation. The causal theory holds that our actions are governed by the motives generated by what happened in the past, while the causal theory holds that it's our lives who shape our life and future. In order to achieve this goal, we will have some behavior.

From the perspective of teleology, our actions are all based on our own decisions. We dominate the future, we make our own history, and we run to the unknown and the vast. Everything in the past, the interference of all things, has no influence. We are the masters of everything.

Therefore, as a humanist, I put forward my view here, that is, the core of Humanism: human is an independent individual, and the future is in his own hands. Don't say you can't, when you think you can't, walk to the road, so you will become a pedestrian. We can do whatever practical things we want to do. Believe in ourselves and we will become what we want to be.

Intelligent students, as long as we do not forget the original heart, remember their dreams, responsible for themselves, we will certainly become a capital person.
